Mens Mental Health

Statistically, men are just as likely as women to be suffering with their mental health, yet, they are much less likely to recognise it, and even less likely to seek help.

A lot of men we have worked with start out incredibly sceptical and would frankly rather have a tooth pulled without freezing than sit in a room and talk with a stranger about their feelings. Sound familiar?

You might not know what is wrong, but you do know that something in your life is just off. Maybe you are so used to keeping your head down, working hard, and setting aside how you feel (if you even let yourself feel anything at all) to take a minute to figure out what is actually going on.

Maybe you are stuck. Stuck with things at work. Stuck with things in your relationship. Stuck. In. Life. You don't feel great, but who has the time to try and sit there and contemplate feelings when everything is on fire and you have bills to pay.

Here's the thing - at some point, it implodes. Maybe not today, maybe not this year, but what we can say is that men are really good at 'stuffing things down' until it becomes unbearable, or there are serious consequences, and that is when we start hearing things like 'I lost my job', 'my wife left', 'my kids won't talk to me', or ' my doctor says I am going to have a heart attack before 40'.

Good news - if you are reading this, you don't want to hang out to see what rock bottom looks like. Either someone who cares about you pointed you in this direction, or you decided you are sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, and you want to do something about it. Either way, you are here, and thats what counts. Do yourself a favour, click the book button, come in for an initial session, and lets just take it from there.
